  • Corinna Humphries

    Director

    With over 30 years’ experience at gbac and now co-owner, Corinna is the gbac Tax Director. She specialises in Employee Share Schemes, Business Restructuring, and Tax Efficient Investing. She is also a qualified wills and probate practitioner. Corinna is a volunteer at “Tax Help for Older People.”

  • Marie Lang

    Director

    Marie is co-owner alongside Corinna Humphries. She has over 30 years’ experience working with and advising SME’s. She specialises in Transaction Services, in addition to being a Senior Statutory Auditor. She has previously held a position as Chair and Member of the IAASB and IESBA Consultative Advisory Groups in her capacity as Technical Director of EFAA. Marie has worked in practice and business having started her career with KPMG and having worked with one of the UK’s largest Truck Exporters. Marie is a Governor of Barnsley College.

At gbac, our people are at the heart of our business, and it is important for us to create a culture where our team feel happy, valued and heard. We have created an environment where we recognise and reward our team whilst supporting their continuing professional development. We are continuously reviewing our rewards and recognition programme to ensure this is relevant to our team in an ever-changing world.

Flexibility

As we are a training organisation it is important to us that we work collaboratively in the office environment to provide the best service to our clients. In 2021, we introduced the 4-day week for our full-time members of staff and now 100% of our team work flexible hours to provide them with a better home / work life balance.

Wellbeing

We have a dedicated wellbeing room and six trained Mental Health First Aiders who provide regular wellbeing chats and support to their peers. We have a health and wellbeing calendar where we have exciting events each month accessible for all the team such as: smoothie making, summer walks and general health checks.

Training and Career opportunities

We invest heavily in the training of our team and many of our long-standing team members have been at gbac right from the start of their training to gaining their 25 years of service badge! We provide external training, internal knowledge share sessions, unlimited access to webinars and provide all employees who are studying towards their professional exams with a training mentor to support them through the process.

CSR

Corporate social responsibility is an important factor and a key priority of our ESG plan. We are committed to ensuring that we make a positive and lasting impact on the world, through being sustainable and environmentally mindful in all our operations. We are committed to supporting our local area and have a dedicated charity team who organise events throughout the year.
